Resiliency is that quality of life that propels us to go on when the going is difficult and everything in us wants to give up. It is the quality that enables us to bear up under trials, not as victims, but as overcomers. The Apostle Paul gives us a wonderful example of resiliency when in 2 Corinthians 4:7-11 he writes, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;” Then in Romans 8:37-38 he gives us the secret of his resiliency; “For in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Are you convinced? Of what are you convinced?
