Elodia Flynn, L.C.S.W. has been a practicing therapist for the past 32 years.Education includes:

  • Master of Social work from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville
  • Practicum at The Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic, under the direction of Dr. Salvador Minuchin with focus on family therapy.
  • Trained under Virginia Satir, with focus on family therapy.
  • Trained in Transactional Analysis
  • Particular focus in working with couples and individuals, and groups.
  • While not certified, experience in working with victims of trauma.

In my years of practice I have seen many believers who although they knew God’s word and desired to live according to it, seemed unable to implement the many verses they have memorized.

  • How can we successfully run with endurance, unless we practically understand the encumbrances in our lives and the sin that so easily entangles us? (Hebrews 12:1)
  • How do we personalize this race?
  • How do we live Monday through Saturday when the Sunday sermon is only an echo of undelivered promises?
  • How can we define what entangles us?

Until we can define and resolve those entanglements, no amount of prayer or Bible memorization will bring about change.  We must be willing to face the truth about ourselves.   Salvation is much more than a free ticket into heaven; but rather a transformation of the individual into the likeness of Christ — living as He lived: passionately, with excellence, integrity, dignity and truth.
